You might think the key ‘transformers’ driving the future today are the AI models, but the real silent heroes are the electrical ones that keep the power flowing.
The demand for powering data centres is growing exponentially, facing challenges across the entire chain: from large-scale power generation down to managing heat dissipation in the high-density compute racks. At the centre of it all is an AC microgrid integrating power distribution, redundancy, and backup systems to ensure these systems never go down.
ADVANTICS line of rack mount AC/DC and DC/DC power modules offer the power density to build 1 MW racks while also running at extremely high efficiency. Every % matters when you are pushing 1 GW of computer power, and we understand that challenge.
ADVANTICS modules are 4U, standard depth, sub-19” width, designed to integrate easily into the typical infrastructure used in data centres and industrial systems.
In our liquid-cooled power converter series, the ADB-PC-DC01 module is a bidirectional isolated 100 kW power converter unit that connects a high-voltage UPS battery to 800 VDC link. The ADB-PC-AC01 module is a bidirectional AC/DC inverter (active front end). It accepts all standard AC mains voltages and frequencies and can rectify this input to an 800 VDC link, or be integrated into a double online conversion setup to provide clean, stable power to the grid.
Designed for versatility, performance and reliability, each module prioritises safety. Our bidirectional power converter, ADM-PC-BI25, is specifically designed to provide galvanic isolation for safe power conversion, without the need of a large mains transformer. The galvanic isolation keeps systems safe and separates isolation monitoring, so you can detect faults on the battery side or the 800 V link, making it physically impossible for battery fault currents to pass through. It is ideal for sidecar setups. If, however, galvanic isolation is not required for a specific application, ADVANTICS converters can be built with double the power in the same form factor. In addition, we offer derivatives for +/-400 V architectures, opening the doors to integration with DC fast charger stations for electric vehicles.
Wherever you are headed for your power needs, don’t let the complexity of stability challenges or the need for advanced grid services slow down your critical path.
